The deadline to file a 2027 exemption application is March 1, 2027. ^[1]
OCPA's online portal says 2027 applications can be filed in the fall of 2026. ^[3]

Email the application and documents to [email protected] with 'Confidential Exemption Information' in the subject, or mail to Orange County Property Appraiser, Attention: Exemptions, 200 S. Orange Avenue, Suite 1700, Orlando FL 32801. There's also an online portal. ^[1]^[3]

Each applicant needs two proofs of residency, one of which must be a Florida driver's license (address must match) or, for non-drivers, a Florida ID card. Others: vehicle registration, voter registration, or a recorded declaration of domicile. ^[1]
Deed information (deed type, date, book/page or instrument number) is requested on Form DR-501. ^[1]

Florida rule: the property appraiser mails an annual renewal, or the county may waive annual applications. You must refile if ownership or use changes. ^[4]

Florida rule: VAB petitions on value are due within 25 days after the TRIM notice is mailed. Exemption denials: within 30 days of the denial notice. ^[5]
